There isn’t one definitive answer, so much depends on your children and the way they learn. I recommend going for a school visit. I often go with parents on the visit to keep up with the schools. Children seem to pick up on what feels right for them so once you have satisfied yourself a school is what you want academically take your child to visit a couple of schools. You may be surprised what feels best to them.
NC has a great website that shows all of the schools in NC and the test scores by County. NCpublicschools.org.
According to US News 2018, all 3 Chapel Hill High Schools, Chapel Hill High, East Chapel Hill High and Carrboro High are in the top 10 public high schools in the State and have the highest SAT scores in the State.
Raleigh is in Wake County. Raleigh Charter School is ranked #2 high school in the State according to US News. Enloe High has top 2018 SAT scores at 1257.
Cary and Apex High Schools, Green Hope High, Panther Creek High and Apex high have the highest Public test and SAT scores in Wake County following Raleigh’s Enloe High.
What’s the best school? One of my clients said it very well.
