Highcroft is on my list of best Cary neighborhoods because it is very family friendly, has a top rated now traditional calendar elementary school in the neighborhood, community pool, good quality homes, adjacent to Sears Farm Park and convenient to Beaver Creek Crossing for shopping.

Hi,
I’m Marianne Howell Wright with Triangle Area Real Estate. Today, we’re going to go to Cary and take a look at the Highcroft neighborhood. The homes in Highcroft range in price from about the upper threes to upper fours. The neighborhood was built in the 2000s and it’s very family oriented because there’s an elementary school in the neighborhood and a park right next door. Let’s go over to Highcroft and I will show you around.
One of the things I like about Highcroft is that many of the houses were built by different builders. It doesn’t have that production builder, cookie cutter look that so many Cary neighborhoods have. Most of the houses do have front loaded garages just because the size of the lots aren’t quite large enough to get that side entry in. At the price range, it’s really a good custom looking neighborhood.
There is a pool, not really a clubhouse but the neighborhood is still very social even though there isn’t like a regular gathering place. People get together especially at the school.
We’re going to drive down by the Highcroft Elementary which is a year-round school. Most of the houses in Highcroft are within the walk zone to Highcroft, which is a mile and a half as Google takes you, not as the crow flies. This is the school. It’s fairly new, high tech.
This was my house hunters episode house that my clients bought and we’re going to stop in and see them real quick.
So, you’re still making lists, Jen.
Jen: I’m still making my lists, but now it’s my list on how to organize the house. I do love my lists.
Marianne Howell Wright: And your house.
Jen: And paint colors and all that kind of fun stuff. The little brown book is still getting a lot of use.
Stan: We got the island, or kind of a pseudo island.
Marianne Howell Wright: We’ll just take a peek in Stan and Jen’s dining room before we head over to Highcroft Village which is right next to Highcroft. It’s a newer section. The houses aren’t quite as interesting on the outside. They’re all pretty much the same with siding. But, inside, they have lots of good, new looking details. This is just a house that we looked at with Stan and Jen before they decided on their Highcroft house. Highcroft is a great neighborhood to live.
This is Sears Farm Park which is right next to Highcroft. This is winter, and you can kind of see the school through the trees. The park’s a great place to get together and to have park birthday parties.
Well, thanks for coming with me to Highcroft. This is Marianne Howell Wright with Triangle Area Real Estate from Highcroft in Cary, North Carolina.
